Glossybox June 2011!

So today I recieved my second Glossybox and I while I still think it's value for money I was a little underwhelmed with the selection of products recieved.
I don't dislike any on the products I recieved but I was a little disappointed with the fact that I didn't recieve a makeup item but I guess some months will alway be better than others.
I think Glossybox set the standard so high with the first box that people are gonna feel a little bit let down with this box but I still think it was worth £10.
From what I can see on other blogs not everyone got the same items this month and the box was customised for you according to the preferences you  selected when you first joined.

This is what I got in my box:

Mama Mio O-Mega Body Buff

Not tried this one yet so I cannot say how nice of a product it is but it's quite a large size and should last a while.

Lalique Perles De Lalique

Love the bottle, not sold on the smell. It's okay but it's quite an heavy, woodsy scent and more suited as a winter fragrance. It as notes of Bulgarian Rose, Orris, Bourbon Pepper, Indonesian Patchouli and Cashmere woods.

Bio Effects EGF Serum

This is my favourite item, it's an anti-ageing repairing serum that help speed up cell turnover. You are actually getting a decent sized sample here as the full size of this product retail at £125 for 15ml.
There was also a voucher in the box for £30 pound of the full size product and I'm very tempted to buy it.
It makes my skin feel amazingly soft and it looks bright and refreshed.

OPI Nail Polish

I love OPI polish so I'm glad this was included, it's a pretty berry shade with loads of little particles of holographic glitter.

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo

The thing most people are disappointed with, personally I don't mind as I was going to go and buy one of these for my handbag and now I don't have too!
I love Batiste and have gone trough loads of cans, it's amazing if you have greasy roots but also if you just need loads of volume or a matte texture.

So what did you think of this months box? What items would you have preferred and what do you like to see in next months?

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine: Review & Swatch

Rouge Coco Shine is the latest addition to Chanel's lipstick family, it has a lightweight gel texture and most of the shades are quite sheer and juicy looking.  These feel more like a tinted balm than a lipstick as they are quite moisturising and are not sticky or heavy and all of the shades are very wearable, even the oranges, bright pinks and reds are very natural and just give you an effortless polished look.
The lasting power isn't great, I get two hours at most and then I have to re-apply but I love these lipsticks so much that I don't care.
They are a little on the expensive side (£23.00) but I think in this case they are totally worth  it, I have two at the moment but I have my eye on 4-5 more shades that I eventually want to get.
I got shade 48 Evasion, a nice natural peach and 54 Boy, a rosy nude and the shade worn by Vanessa Paradis in the promo.

OPI Lincoln Park At Midnight - Swatch & Review

This as been on my "to buy" list for so long I'm really glad I finally got it, even though I wont really get a lot of wear out of it until autumn and winter come round.

It the perfect dark color for the colder months, it's a deep shade of purple with a plummy shimmer that looks almost straight up black in day light, the shimmer is really only noticeable in artificial light or direct sunlight.

Leighton Denny Supermodel - Swatch & Review

This months issue of Harpers Bazaar Magazine is giving away a free Leighton Denny nail polish worth £11, having never tried Leighton Denny I decided to pick up a copy and see what is nail polishes are like.

Wish I hadn't have bothered! This is one of the worst formulas I've ever painted with, thick, gloopy and streaked like no other, the shade is pretty but it paints like a bitch!

Is it worth £11? Honestly it's not even worth the £4.20 the magazine cost as I normally don't read Harpers Bazaar. Could I have gotten a faulty bottle? Maybe, but I won't be in a rush to try any more Leighton Denny products any time soon.

OPI I Vant To Be A-Lone Star - Swatch & Review

OPI's Texas Collection didn't really impress me all that much, I thought that the shades were pretty safe and almost boring.
I Vant To Be A-Lone Star was the exception as I don't have any color similar in my colection, I'm actually really glad I got it as I almost didn't pick it up.

It's a very delicate powdery baby blue with an hint of gray and plenty of silver shimmer.
The formula was a little off on this one, a bit thicker than normal and it dragged a little near the cuticle but the shade alone is worth the extra effort.

OPI Strawberry Margarita - Swatch & Review

OPI Strawberry Margarita is a bright, cool toned medium pink cream that's perfect for summer. It's the perfect pink to had a pop of color to a plain outfit and looks amazing on the toes.

As with most OPI colors this goes on smooth and is full coverage after 2 coats.

Les Fleurs D'Ete De Chanel-Chanel Summer 2011 Haul

Les Fleurs D'Ete De Chanel is the brand new summer collection for this year, it consists of lots of bronzy shades for the face, mossy greens for the eyes, corals and pinks for the lips and yellows and pinks for the nails.
It launched Friday in the UK and it's already proving to be really popular especially with the nail varnishes and bronzers.

Since I first saw the promo pictures for Chanel's new summer collection I knew straight away what I'd be getting and for once I stuck to my list and wasn't tempted into buying more.

I got the bronzing powder in Bronze Rose and the Nail Colour in Mimosa.
Mimosa is absolutely stunning in real life and the one thing from this collection that's going to sell out the first so if you want it you need to get it now.
I don't have swatches yet but will do a separate post for that.

The lovely lady at the counter gave me a couple of samples of perfume and mascara to try and she also gave me these two cute little items.
One is an handheld puzzle game were you have to get the pink pearls to stay on their marks and the other one is a adorable Chanel Chance bracelet charm.

What do you guys think of the new collection and what is it your gonna buy?
