July Favourites!

I don't have that many favourites this month as I've generally not stuck to using anything consistently and have swapped and changed products quite a lot.

Garnier Pure
An old favourite, I always find myself reaching for this in the warmer months as it deep cleanses and refreshes my skin.

MAC Strobe Cream
Nice light texture, easily absorbed and adds a subtle radiant sheen to the skin.
I find it works well as a brightening primer too.

Lush Sweet Lips Lip Scrub
My lips have been so dry this past week and this as really helped get rid of any rough, dry skin and help my lipstick go on smoother.
Tastes nice too so that a bonus!

YSL Volupte Sheer Candy
I love these, nice sheer juicy looking shades, feel nice and light, not sticky and smell so good.
I do find you have to reapply them quite a lot and they aren't as moisturising as I would like them to be but I love them all the same.

Fan Di Fendy
One of the nicest perfume launches of the year!
It's a nice, light, fruity floral with a slightly powdery dry down, I'm not going to say to much about it in this post though as full review is coming soon.

June Favourites!

Better late than never? I never get my monthly favourites written up in time partly because it comes round so fast and partly because I really struggled to find products that I really liked this month.

My New Hair

Not really a product but I got my hair cut and colored it's now 100% better than the disaster the previous hair stylist gave me.
I wish I could have got my highlight too but my hair was a patchwork of previous colors so I was advised to wait and get my base color nice and even first.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

An all year round essential but especially useful in the summer. I don't like washing my hair everyday and this keeps my hair looking clean and gives me volume.
I also like the new XXL Volume version but you have to use it sparingly otherwise you end up with sticky, birds nest hair.

Soap & Glory The Breakfast Scrub

I managed to use up a whole tub of this in a month! I don't love it quite as much as the Flake Away scrub but it did the job of exfoliating my legs and leaving them nice and smooth.
Smells lovely too, like bananas and maple syrup.

YSL Teint Resist

I've realised no matter how many foundations I purchase this one is as close to perfection as I'm ever gonna get.
Lovely even coverage with a natural finish, it lasts a full day on me and doesn't rub off, just wish there was a shade that was a tad more yellow based than peach.

Chanel Broze Universal

I've not worn bronzer every day this month but when I have it's been this one. I like it cause it looks very natural but I do find I have to blend it very carefully otherwise it goes patchy.

Essie Fill The Gap Basecoat

Not marketed as a strengthening treatment but since using this my nails have stopped flaking and I've been able to grow them to a decent length.

Vera Wang Lovestruck Perfume

I only have samples at the moment but I absolutely love it. The bottle is beautiful and the main reason I want it but the scent itself is great too. Sweet but light at the same time and very typical of a Vera Wang fragrance.

April Favourites

MAC Cleanse Off Oil Tranquil - This takes off every trace of makeup including waterproof mascara. I like it better than the original version as I find it more moisturising, smells of sweet grapefruit and leaves my skin soft and clean.

MAC Eye Shadow in Sable and Casablanca - Sable is a plummy brow shade that works really well has both a lid and crease color, it the sort of color you can just throw on and not have to spend ages blending. Casablanca is an old color from Salsabelle (correct me if I'm wrong) and one of my favourite highlighters. It a soft gold sheen that's not to frosty and kinda reminds me of NARS Albatross only better.

L'oreal Renewal Lash Serum - I've used this product in the past and loved it the only reason I stopped using it was I'd run out and never bothered to get a new tube. My lashes look a million times better when I'm using this and it really makes them thicker and longer.

Chanel Sublime de Chanel Mascara - It gives me length, curl and volume, doesn't flake or smudge and it's super black. I like it just as much as I do the L'Oreal Voluminous.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara - Perfect size brush to reach all those little bottom lashes, sounds gimmicky but it's not. Reasonably priced too and should last a while.

MAC Lipstick in Lazy Day and Candy Yum Yum - Lazy Day is a nude pink similar to Angel but sheerer and more on the nude side, Candy Yum Yum is a bright candy pink bordering on neon.

YSL Lipstick in #148 Tea Rose - The most perfect peachy nude shade of all, light but not too nude that it makes you look like a corpse. Not very long lasting but I'm willing to put up with that cause it is such a gorgeous color.

Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 in Mango - I only have a little bit of the Vanilla left so I decided to buy a new one in Mango and let me tell you it smells amazing. I love the formula of Kiehl's Lip Balm as it moisturises well without being heavy or greasy.

Gucci Flora - I love to wear this in the spring and summer, it's a juicy fruity floral that's not to heavy or sweet so perfect for when the weather warms up.
I smell citrus fruits and white peach with a slight spicy undertone, not particularly original but nice all the same.

February: The Good & The Bad

I know I moan about being late with these every month but truth is they come round so fast and I simply forget.
Another slow month because I'm actually trying to use up a lot of my half used products, it's funny how you seem to rediscover your love for something when you haven't used it in a little while

The Good

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation - Comparable to Chanel's Pro Lumiere in coverage but more matte and better smelling. Comes with a pump and it's inexpensive, absolutely love it. I've got the matching concealer but I'm not sure on that yet.

NARS Laguna Bronzer & Orgasm Blush - I'm loving Laguna as a contour and Orgasm on the apples of my cheeks, it looks very glowy and fresh.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner - I've finished both of these and I'm sad but cannot re-purchase just yet cause I have too much to use up.
Even my hair stylist asked what I'd been using as my hair is was so soft.

Vera Vang Princess - Another item I've nearly used up, nice and sweet, very pleasant and inoffensive but not very unique, I prefer to use this one for layering with other fragrances.

The Bad

Breakouts - I swear I get to a point were I think my skin is nice and clear and then out of nowhere I'll get a breakout, granted it's not quite has bad as I always make out but it still drives me up the wall.

April's: The Good and The Bad

Okay so officially two days late on this one but I didn't get a chance to post yesterday.

I've tried not to include anything I bought to recently or that's not been used more than once as I feel that would be to quick to make a judgement.

The Good:

MAC Studio Moisture Cream, love the way it provides just the right amount of moisture for my combination skin.
Chanel Mat Lumiere Fluid Foundation, perfect for when my skin is oilier and needs more coverage.
MAC Studio Fix Powder, love this so much more than the MUFA HD powder to set my makeup and provide extra coverage.
NARS Laguna Bronzer, love that it's not to light, not too dark and it's not orange.
NARS Taj Mahal Blush, applied with a very light hand it makes my fair NC20 skin look alive and glowing.
NARS Albatross, perfect highlighter need I say more.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero and Bourbon, last forever on the waterline and those two shades are very versatile.
YSL Lingerie Pink Lipstick, my new favourite pink lipstick, bright but still very wearable.
MAC Angel Lipstick, perfect nude everyday pink.
MAC Show Orchid Lipstick, I absolutely love this lipstick it's the perfect bright cool pink shade that make your teeth look whiter too.
Gosh Cool Lip Jam in #100, looks white in the tube but goes on clear with a blue irridescence, how cool is that?
Kerastase Nectar Thermique, the best heat protectant in the world.
Batiste Original Dry Shampoo, perfect for when you can be bothered to wash your hair but still want it to look clean.
Tigi Bed Head Afterparty, the only thing that makes my hair look smooth an shiny.

The Bad:

MAC Penultimate Liner, used it twice and it dried up complete waste of money.
Barry M Lip Paint in #100 and #101, super dry texture and doesn't go on smooth.
Wella Enrich Mask, did absolutely nothing for my hair apart from make it frizzy.
